Envu has announced an exclusive partnership with microbial biotechnology company Greencell to introduce Fiata Boost, a microbial biostimulant developed to enhance the resilience of turfgrass and ornamental plants under challenging environmental conditions.
The product is intended for use on golf courses, sports turf, and ornamental landscapes, where increasing climate-related stress has created growing demand for sustainable plant management solutions. According to the companies, Fiata Boost combines selected bacterial and fungal microorganisms with specialized co-formulants to help plants better tolerate drought, heat, and heavy use while supporting recovery and growth.
Unlike conventional crop protection products, microbial biostimulants work by stimulating natural plant processes rather than controlling pests or diseases. The approach is gaining attention as regulators and industry stakeholders encourage greater adoption of biological and environmentally focused technologies.
The companies said the formulation was evaluated through more than 40 field trials conducted over four years across the United States and several European countries. The trials reportedly demonstrated measurable improvements in plant performance compared with untreated areas under varying environmental conditions.
Fiata Boost has already received registration in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Sweden, with additional approvals across the European Union expected in the coming months.
The collaboration combines Envu’s experience in environmental science and turf management with Greencell’s expertise in microbial biotechnology. Greencell has spent more than two decades developing microorganism-based technologies for agriculture, environmental applications, and related industries.
Industry observers note that biological products such as microbial biostimulants are becoming increasingly important as growers and turf managers seek solutions that support plant health while reducing reliance on conventional agricultural inputs.
Envu, which operates in more than 100 countries, continues to expand its portfolio of biological and bio-based products as part of its broader strategy to address changing environmental conditions and evolving sustainability requirements across the turf and ornamental sectors.
