MIAMI, Fla. — Miami Barber Institute (MBI) has joined a South Florida humanitarian coalition supporting communities affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela by donating emergency medical supplies to ongoing relief efforts.
The initiative is being coordinated through the Unidos por Venezuela Humanitarian Collection Center, a collaborative effort involving several Venezuelan-American organizations, including business, healthcare, logistics, and community groups. The coalition is collecting and distributing essential medical aid and emergency supplies for affected regions.
As part of its contribution, Miami Barber Institute donated 20,000 N95 protective masks, packaged in 20 boxes, to help safeguard healthcare workers, first responders, rescue teams, and volunteers involved in emergency operations.
The relief campaign has brought together nonprofit organizations, healthcare professionals, businesses, and volunteers across South Florida to assist families impacted by the disaster. The collection center continues to receive donations of medical supplies, first-aid materials, and healthcare equipment to support both immediate response efforts and longer-term recovery.
Institute leaders said the donation reflects the organization’s commitment to community service and humanitarian outreach, particularly given the strong ties many students, staff, and local residents have with Venezuela.
Community organizers are encouraging businesses, healthcare providers, civic organizations, and individuals to participate by contributing essential medical supplies or supporting the ongoing relief initiative.
Miami Barber Institute, an accredited barber training institution based in South Florida, regularly participates in charitable and community-focused initiatives alongside its educational programs.
