ROANOKE, Ala. — BLZ Fire Skids has delivered a new shipment of electric UTV-mounted firefighting systems to Idaho as demand grows for rapid-response equipment during the 2026 wildfire season.

The company said the units are designed to improve wildfire response in areas where conventional fire engines have limited access. Mounted on utility terrain vehicles (UTVs), the firefighting systems allow emergency crews, utility operators, ranchers, and land managers to reach remote trails, wooded terrain, utility corridors, and rural properties more quickly.

Manufactured in Roanoke, Alabama, the fire skids are powered by lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries rather than gasoline engines, reducing routine maintenance while enabling operators to begin pumping water immediately upon arrival at an incident. The systems also feature the company’s Fight-Finity™ onboard charging technology, which recharges the battery while the UTV is in motion, helping maintain operational readiness throughout the workday.

The Idaho shipment is intended to support a range of wildfire management activities, including responding to spot fires, assisting with prescribed burns, protecting rural infrastructure, and monitoring utility rights-of-way.

In addition to its electric models, BLZ Fire Skids manufactures gas-powered firefighting systems to accommodate different operational requirements.
