Award-winning singer Natasha Owens has released a new patriotic single, “America 250,” as part of a campaign aimed at supporting U.S. veterans while marking the lead-up to the nation’s 250th anniversary celebrations.
Released ahead of Independence Day, the project combines music with fundraising efforts to benefit the PTSD Foundation of America, an organization that provides recovery programs, counseling, peer support, and housing assistance for veterans and their families. The initiative is supported by Real America’s Voice and Patriot Mobile, which are helping promote the campaign nationwide.
According to the campaign, proceeds generated through music streams, downloads and other listener engagement will contribute to programs that assist veterans coping with post-traumatic stress and the long-term effects of military service.
The inspiration for the project came after Owens visited Camp Hope, a residential recovery center operated by the PTSD Foundation of America, where she met veterans participating in rehabilitation and support programs. The experience helped shape the campaign’s focus on raising awareness of the challenges many former service members continue to face after leaving active duty.
Beyond promoting the new release, the campaign encourages the public to stream the song, share its music video and help increase awareness of veteran support services. Organizers say the goal is to combine patriotism with charitable giving as the United States approaches its semiquincentennial celebrations.
“America 250” is available on major digital music platforms, with campaign organizers encouraging public participation to help expand support for veterans and their families.
